Survey of Fish Auction Places (FAP)

On January 10 2024 Pekalongan City BPS officers conducted the 2023 Quarter IV FAP Survey at the Pekalongan City Fishing Harbor. Fisheries is an agricultural subsector that has a very important role in Indonesia. The vastness of the ocean supports enormous potential in developing fisheries businesses, both capture fisheries and aquaculture.

Pekalongan City has fisheries potential, with quite a lot of fish production. One of the data related to capture fisheries that is routinely collected by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is the Fishing Port-Fish Auction Place Statistics (PP-TPI) for a quarterly period.

The aim of this survey is to obtain data on marine fisheries production sold through TPI. The data requested includes fish catches landed and sold through TPI, the average number of vessels landing fish, type of fishing gear and condition of the catch.
