On May 14 2024, the Statistics Corner of the Muhammadiyah University of Pekajangan Pekalongan (UMPP) was inaugurated. Located in the campus library of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Pekalongan City BPS Statistics Corner is present as a BPS representative on campus in order to get closer to data consumers.
Before the inauguration ceremony was held, it was preceded by an academic lecture in front of the students with the theme "Statistical Literacy for Research in Higher Education" which was delivered by Nur Saidah S.ST, SE, M.Si and Iqbal, S.ST. It is hoped that this academic lecture will further increase students' knowledge in terms of statistical literacy, especially for those who are in the preparation stage of writing their final assignment.
The launch of the Statistics Corner was marked by a ribbon cutting carried out by the Head of BPS, Deputy Chancellor III UMPP Mr. Aslam Fatkhudin, S. Kom, M.Kom and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Mrs. Yohani, SE, M. Si, Ak. C.A. After cutting the ribbon, the Head of Pekalongan City BPS had the opportunity to deliver a speech which essentially invited everyone, especially academics within the Muhammadiyah University of Pekajangan Pekalongan (UMPP), both students and lecturers, to make the most of the Statistics Corner facilities that have been provided. The Statistics Corner provides services in the form of Offline Data Provision, Online Services and Statistical Consultations.
