On Thursday, June 27, 2024, the Central Statistics Agency of Pekalongan City received a visit from the Directorate of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantation Statistics of BPS RI led by Mr. Hermanto, S.Si, M.M. The group was received directly by the Head of BPS Pekalongan City, Mr. Drs. Rahyudin, M.Si and his staff.

In his remarks, Mr. Hermanto, S.Si, M.M expressed his appreciation to all parties, both organic and partners, who have made the implementation of the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP24) a success. BPS is required to capture the actual situation, including various anomalies that occur in the agricultural sector, because currently there are various changes in agricultural management along with changes in climate patterns. This phenomenon must be captured by BPS in order to obtain quality data so that stakeholders in it can provide policies that are in accordance with these conditions.

He also said that in the future BPS will definitely change to adjust to conditions that occur in society. The demands of modernization of information technology and the current lifestyle of society make BPS inevitably adjust the way in collecting data, processing data and presenting data. Along with BPS's future target as a world-class data provider.
