Abstract

"In May 2022, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.58 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.38. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation"

"The main cause of inflation in Central Java in May 2022 was the increase in the price of air transportation, broiler eggs, shallots, red chilies, and oily pastries. The main obstacle to inflation in Central Java was the decline in the price of cooking oil, gold jewelry, wet shrimp, rice, and young jackfruit."

"The inflation rate for the calendar year in May 2022 is 2.87 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (May 2022 to May 2021) is 3.91 percent."
