Abstract

In July 2023, a combined six cities in Central Java experienced inflation of 0.20 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.09. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Surakarta City at 0.31 percent

The main cause of inflation in July 2023 is the increase in the prices of air transportation, garlic, purebred chicken meat, purebred chicken eggs and red chilies. The main restraints to inflation were falling prices for shallots, cayenne pepper, oranges, tomatoes and cell phones.
