Pekalongan City - In order to succeed the implementation of the 2020 Population Census (SP2020), the Pekalongan City Government in collaboration with the local Statistics Agency (BPS) expects the support and active role of all parties. The people of Pekalongan City were also asked to participate in the Online Population Census and assist officers in the implementation of the census which began on 15 February 2020. This was conveyed by the Mayor of Pekalongan, HM Saelany Machfudz, SE when conducting hearings and mentoring trials to fill the 2020 Population Census online at Pekalongan Mayor's Room, Monday (02/17/2020). On that occasion, Saelany also conducted an independent population census online through the site census.bps.go.id, accompanied by the Head of BPS of Pekalongan City, Eddy Prawoto. This is the support of the Pekalongan City Government in implementing SP 2020 online in Pekalongan City so that it can run smoothly and successfully. "Online census can be anywhere and anytime, because it can be done alone as long as you can access the internet. I am optimistic that this online census can run smoothly because of positive public enthusiasm, "said Saelany.

Furthermore Saelany said, the success of the online Population Census that will take place from 15 February 2020 to 31 March 2020 is highly dependent on the active role of the community to conduct the census independently. "I have already filled out an online population census that I just did. Furthermore, hopefully all Pekalongan City residents can play an active role in filling the online population census properly and correctly, because all of this is for the benefit of the community itself, "Saelany said.
