The Central Bureau of Statistics of the City of Pekalongan held a Meeting "Coordination of Data Collection on Village Potential 2021 (PODES 2021) to Support Regional Development in Pekalongan City" on June 10, 2021 in the Jetayu Room of the Pekalongan City Secretariat. This event was held thanks to the support of the Pekalongan City Government. The event was attended by the Regional Secretary of Pekalongan City, Assistant Secretary of Regional Secretary, Head of Bappeda, Head of BKD, Head of Dinkominfo, Head of DPMPPA, Head of Administration of the Regional Secretary, Head of Sub-District in Pekalongan City, and Lurah throughout Pekalongan City.
The purpose of holding this coordination meeting is to disseminate information on the implementation of PODES 2021 to local governments from city districts to the village/kelurahan level, also to request implementation support, and establish coordination and cooperation in data collection with related parties and districts/cities to the village/kelurahan level. so that the resulting data is of higher quality. The 2021 Village Potential Data Collection (PODES) is a collection of data on the availability of infrastructure and the potential possessed by each administrative area at the village/kelurahan, sub-district, and district/city levels throughout Indonesia. The PODES 2021 data collection precedes the Census activities carried out by BPS.
Pekalongan City Secretary, Hj. Sri Ruminingsih, SE, Msi in his speech delivered a letter from the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the support of the local government to the Central Statistics Agency in collecting the Village Potential (PODES) 2021 by facilitating the Camat and Village Heads/Lurah and their officials to assist the 2021 PODES data collection officers by preparing and provide correct answers and factual data needed, both data that has been recorded and data that has not been recorded. In order to improve the quality of providing regional-based data at the village/kelurahan level, synergy between village/kelurahan officials, OPD, BPS, and other stakeholders is a must.
Meanwhile, Head of BPS Pekalongan City Drs. Rahyudin M.Si explained about the importance of Podes data, the role of data in the development planning cycle, the urgency of Podes 2021, the purpose of collecting data for Podes in 2021, Podes output in 2021, Podes data for one of the RPJMN development agendas, question points for village, sub-district and district Podes, and challenges in PODES 2021 data collection.
