On Monday (10/01) a team of BPS Statistical Functional Officers of Pekalongan City led by Cisworejo carried out friendship and coordination activities at the Pekalongan Archipelago Fisheries Port.

The team met by Joko Riyanto as a representative from the Pekalongan Archipelago Fisheries Port, coordinated the data on fish production in Pekalongan City according to fishing gear and types of fish caught in sea waters.

The data will be processed and analyzed by the BPS of Pekalongan City and finally realized in the form of Fisheries Statistics Publication of Pekalongan City, with the aim that the situation and information about marine fisheries in Pekalongan City are easy to use by the government and the people of Kita Pekalongan who are interested.

The contribution of the fishery sector to the economy of Pekalongan City is not small, GRDP data based on current prices in 2020 shows that the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector has a share of 5.10 percent of GRDP 2020. This shows that fisheries are still an important sector to be considered, especially by local governments. .
