On Thursday, August 31 2023, BPS officers conducted a survey of rice plant plots in Kuripan Kertoharjo, Kec. South Pekalongan, Pekalongan City. The Rice Crop Survey is one of the BPS work programs which is carried out during the rice harvest period. The tile survey aims to determine the level of rice productivity in a particular area. Tiling surveys can be carried out at any time according to the rice harvest readiness period. The land harvested in the tile survey is one of the KSA areas where plots of land have been observed every month. The plots of land selected as samples will then be harvested after obtaining permission from the land owner.

The officers together with several STIS Statistics Polytechnic intern students formed a team and headed to the rice fields selected as samples. The survey team also interviewed land owners or farmers who manage land types, jajar legowo planting systems, use of seeds and fertilizer, varieties, methods of controlling pests and the need for agricultural equipment. While carrying out the rice plant tile survey process, the survey team also recorded each survey process in the ICS application and documented it.
