Towards One Data for Pekalongan City: BPS Strengthens Sectoral Statistics Synergy through EPSS Capacity Building

March 8, 2026 | Other Activities

PEKALONGAN CITY – In an effort to improve the quality of regional data, BPS Pekalongan City held a Sectoral Statistics Capacity Building for EPSS Locus: One Data Principles at the BPS Pekalongan City Hall on Wednesday (February 11). The strategic meeting was attended by representatives from Dinperinaker, Diskominfo, and Dinperpa of Pekalongan City to strengthen preparations for the 2026 Sectoral Statistics Implementation Evaluation (EPSS).

The Head of the Sectoral Statistics Team, Sulthoni Syahid Sugito, emphasized the importance of fulfilling the four principles of One Data Indonesia (SDI): data standards, metadata, interoperability, and reference codes. Through this intensive capacity-building activity, it is expected that Pekalongan City's Statistical Development Index (IPS)—which previously stood at 2.62—will see a significant improvement in 2026.

In addition to discussing technical aspects such as the implementation of Statistical Data Standards (SDS) and metadata completion on the indah.bps.go.id platform, the meeting also served as an initial socialization for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026). The Head of BPS Pekalongan City expressed hope that all regional government agencies (OPD) would provide full support for the smooth implementation of SE2026, which is scheduled to take place from May to July.

The event concluded with a joint commitment from all participating institutions to complete more structured administrative supporting documents. This step will serve as an important foundation for the Pekalongan City Government in realizing accurate, up-to-date, and accountable data governance.
