PEKALONGAN – In an effort to enhance the standards of statistical governance at the regional level, BPS Kota Pekalongan conducted the 2026 Sectoral Statistics Capacity Building Meeting for EPSS Locus, focusing on Domain 2 (Data Quality) and Domain 3 (Statistical Business Process). The event was held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the BPS Kota Pekalongan Hall.

The meeting, led by Sulthoni Syahid Sugito, S.ST, was attended by the BPS PSS and EPSS teams, along with representatives from Dinperpa, Dinperinaker, and Diskominfo Kota Pekalongan. This initiative is considered crucial, as data shows that 45.71% of work units in Central Java still have data quality below the “Good” category.

In the main discussion points, BPS emphasized the importance of implementing the international framework UN NQAF for quality assurance and GSBPM version 5.1 as the standard for statistical business processes. By strengthening the six dimensions of quality—from relevance to interpretability—it is expected that the Statistical Development Index (IPS) of Pekalongan City can achieve a higher rating, namely “Very Good” or even “Excellent.”

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment that quality assurance must be carried out comprehensively at every stage, not only at the end of the process, to ensure that the data produced is accurate and accountable.
