PEKALONGAN — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Kota Pekalongan conducted the 2026 Livestock and Fisheries Statistics Survey Training at the BPS Hall on Friday, February 13, 2026. The event, officially opened by the Head of BPS Kota Pekalongan, Hayu Wuranti, S.Si., was attended by all field officers and aimed to strengthen conceptual understanding and align technical perspectives in data collection. In her remarks, she emphasized that livestock and fisheries data are vital instruments for food policy formulation, inflation control, and regional development evaluation, making the integrity of field officers crucial to ensuring national data accuracy.

During the training, participants received comprehensive technical materials, including the Fishing Port and Fish Auction Place Survey (PP-TPI), a refresher on the concept of Additional Planted Area (LTP), and the recording mechanisms for the Monthly Livestock Slaughter Report (LPTB) and the Annual Dairy Cattle Report. Officers were trained to conduct in-depth verification of livestock populations, mutations, and reasonable thresholds for carcass and milk production to ensure data consistency. The main focus of the training was to ensure that every entry in the questionnaire reflects actual field conditions through a structured validation process.

At the end of the program, officers were given specific instructions on data digitalization using the FASIH application based on Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) for LTP and LPTB surveys, as well as a web-entry system for PP-TPI data collection. The use of these technologies is expected to accelerate real-time and accurate data transmission from the field to central servers. With the completion of this training, all officers are ready to be deployed to support the realization of high-quality, up-to-date, and accountable One Data Indonesia integration in Pekalongan City.
