BPS Kota Pekalongan Socializes the 2026 Economic Census at the Pekalongan Regency–City HRD Talk Show

Pekalongan – BPS Kota Pekalongan once again conducted outreach for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) to a wide range of stakeholders. This time, the outreach took place on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, during the Talk Show and Iftar Gathering of Pekalongan Regency and City, themed “Future Ready Talent: Preparing Excellent Human Resources to Face AI,” organized by the Pekalongan HRD Association.

This event served as a strategic opportunity for BPS Kota Pekalongan to broaden public understanding of the importance of SE2026. The event was attended by HR practitioners from various companies and major business sectors across Pekalongan Regency and Pekalongan City, making it an ideal platform to share information regarding the implementation of the national economic census scheduled for 2026.

In addition to corporate HR representatives, the event was also attended by various institutions and organizations that play important roles in the fields of employment and business, including the Department of Industry, Manpower, and Cooperatives, the Department of Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs, the Labor Inspectorate, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, APINDO, KADIN, HIPMI, HIMPSI, and PHRI.

Through this opportunity, BPS Kota Pekalongan presented an overview of the objectives and benefits of the 2026 Economic Census as an effort to obtain comprehensive data on the condition and development of business activities in Indonesia. The data generated from this census is expected to serve as a basis for formulating more targeted economic policies, while also supporting the strengthening of the business ecosystem amid the challenges of digital transformation and the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI).

Active participation from business actors and stakeholders is expected to support the successful implementation of SE2026. With strong synergy between the government, the business community, and related parties, the 2026 Economic Census is expected to produce high-quality data that can drive more inclusive and sustainable economic development.
