BPS Pekalongan City Conducts Economic Census 2026 Outreach to Pekalongan Post Office Branch
June 2, 2026 | BPS Activities
PEKALONGAN CITY — In preparation for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), the Head of BPS Pekalongan City, Hayu Wuranti, S.Si., accompanied by her team, conducted a Communication, Coordination, and Diplomacy (KKD) visit to the Pekalongan Post Office Branch on Tuesday, May 6, 2026.
The delegation was welcomed by Seno Adji Agung Nugroho, Deputy Executive General Manager (EGM) of the Pekalongan Main Post Office (KCU), along with representatives of the Pekalongan Post Office Branch. The meeting aimed to introduce the 2026 Economic Census and strengthen collaboration between BPS and the Post Office in supporting the smooth implementation of business data collection within the Post Office’s operational area.
During the meeting, BPS Pekalongan City explained that the Post Office is one of the business entities that will participate as a respondent in the 2026 Economic Census. SE2026 is a nationwide economic data collection program designed to provide a comprehensive picture of Indonesia’s economic conditions and potential. The resulting data will serve as an important foundation for the formulation of development policies and strategic planning.
To make data submission easier for respondents, BPS introduced the Ngisi Bareng Sensus Ekonomi 2026 (Ngibar SE2026) program. Through this initiative, BPS provides direct assistance to respondents while they complete the census questionnaire, ensuring that the data collection process is easier, faster, and more accurate.
The initiative received a positive response from the Pekalongan Post Office Branch. This support is particularly significant considering that the branch’s service area extends beyond Pekalongan City to include Pekalongan Regency, Batang Regency, and Wonosobo Regency. Given this broad geographical coverage, the Ngibar SE2026 program is expected to facilitate the data collection process for business units operating under the Post Office network.
Through collaboration and support from various stakeholders, BPS Pekalongan City remains optimistic that the 2026 Economic Census will be implemented successfully and produce high-quality economic data to support more effective and targeted development planning.
Let us support the success of the 2026 Economic Census. Recording Indonesia’s Economy for a Better Future.
