BPS Pekalongan City Conducts SKTNP to Monitor Quarterly Economic Developments

PEKALONGAN – Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Pekalongan City continues to carry out the Special Quarterly Production Accounts Survey (SKTNP) for Goods and Services as a strategic effort to regularly capture regional economic conditions. This activity is part of a routine agenda conducted every three months—in January, April, July, and October.

The implementation of SKTNP aims to obtain up-to-date information on the development of businesses and companies across Pekalongan City. The data collected includes trends in business revenue and other production indicators. This information will serve as a crucial component in compiling quarterly Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), which is used by the government to measure economic growth.

In the April 2026 field implementation, BPS deployed a team consisting of 5 partner enumerators and 3 supervisors. The team is tasked with visiting selected companies and business actors to ensure that the data collected is accurate and representative.

Based on field observations, officers conducted direct visits to business locations, ranging from hospitality services to office-based sectors in areas such as East and West Pekalongan. Interviews and questionnaire completion were carried out in a persuasive manner to encourage companies to provide objective revenue data. With SKTNP conducted consistently every quarter, it is expected that local governments can formulate more targeted economic policies based on real business dynamics within Pekalongan City.
