Mapping Tourism Economic Potential, BPS Pekalongan City Conducts the 2026 VDTW Survey
April 25, 2026 | BPS Activities
KOTA PEKALONGAN – In an effort to strengthen the regional tourism data foundation, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Pekalongan City has officially conducted the 2026 Commercial Tourism Attraction Survey (VDTW). This data collection targets all commercially managed tourist attractions across Pekalongan City to capture the sector’s real contribution to the local economy.
Technically, the survey aims to obtain comprehensive data on both general and specific profiles of each Tourism Attraction (ODTW). The main focus is on financial aspects, including detailed revenue and operational expenditures. In addition, the survey serves as an important instrument to assess investment trends, business prospects, and employment absorption within Pekalongan City’s tourism sector.
Field implementation is scheduled over a two-month period, from April to May 2026. In its execution, BPS has deployed a dedicated team consisting of one BPS field supervisor and two trained field enumerators from BPS partners.
