BPS Kota Pekalongan Socializes the 2026 Economic Census at BSI’s “Ngopi Emas” Event

Pekalongan – BPS Kota Pekalongan once again conducted outreach for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) to various stakeholders. This time, the outreach took place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, during “Ngopi Emas” (Ngobrol Pintar Investasi Emas / Smart Talks on Gold Investment), an event organized by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Pekalongan City at Hotel Dafam Pekalongan City.

This event served as a strategic opportunity for BPS Kota Pekalongan to broaden public understanding of the importance of SE2026. The event was attended by employees and customers of BSI KC Pemuda and BSI KC Wahid Hasyim Pekalongan City, making it an ideal platform to reach both business actors and the wider public.

During the session presented by Wahyu Triatmo, BPS explained that SE2026 is the fifth Economic Census, aimed at providing reliable baseline data for all non-agricultural, non-government, and non-household economic activities. This data will later serve as a foundation for policymaking and national development planning.

In addition to explaining its objectives, the outreach also highlighted several strategic issues that SE2026 is expected to address, ranging from mapping the regional economic structure and the competitiveness of MSMEs, to the adoption of digital and green economy practices. Participants were encouraged to welcome field officers and provide accurate and complete information as a meaningful contribution to Indonesia’s economic development.

Active participation from BSI customers and business actors is expected to support the successful implementation of SE2026. With strong synergy among all stakeholders, the 2026 Economic Census is expected to produce an accurate picture of the country’s economic structure and help drive greater transparency and improvements across the overall economic ecosystem.
