BPS Kota Pekalongan and Klego Village Strengthen Synergy in Preparation for the 2026 Economic Census

Pekalongan – BPS Kota Pekalongan continues to intensify outreach for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) down to the grassroots level. This time, the activity took place on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Klego Village Office Hall, involving the Village Head as well as all RW and RT heads across Klego Village as the main participants.

This activity aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the importance of SE2026 in portraying the region’s economic structure, as well as the need for active public participation. In the presentation delivered by Sobar Dwi Prabowo, it was emphasized that SE2026 will cover businesses of all sizes, from micro to large-scale enterprises, with the exception of the agricultural sector, government administration, and household activities for own consumption.

BPS Kota Pekalongan also explained the two data collection methods that will be used: online questionnaire completion for large companies, and direct field enumeration through door-to-door visits. Given the importance of accurate data as a foundation for national economic policymaking, the public was encouraged to welcome enumerators carrying official identification and provide accurate information.

Through this collaboration at the village level, it is hoped that information about the benefits of SE2026—such as the provision of an economic map and business competitiveness analysis—can be effectively conveyed to all business actors in Klego Village. Strong support from the local community will be key to the success of this once-every-ten-years economic data collection effort, in support of more inclusive economic development.
