BPS Kota Pekalongan Collaborates with Dindagkop-UKM to Strengthen Preparations for the 2026 Economic Census

PEKALONGAN – BPS Kota Pekalongan held a socialization event for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) at the Dindagkop-UKM Hall of Pekalongan City on Monday, March 9, 2026. The activity aimed to strengthen data collection synergy as a foundation for well-targeted development policies.

In the session, representatives of BPS Kota Pekalongan explained that SE2026 will produce a comprehensive database covering detailed maps and structures of the regional economy. The data collection will provide sectoral information categorized by industry and business scale, ranging from micro to large enterprises. In addition, the census will address modern economic analysis, including aspects of the digital economy, green economy, and blue economy, as well as business performance profiles that reflect competitiveness, capital, and future business prospects.

Acting Head of Dindagkop-UKM Kota Pekalongan, Mr. Wismo Adityo, emphasized that data serves as the fundamental foundation in the information management pyramid. He instructed all data managers in market and cooperative sectors to fully support SE2026, as the results will be crucial for carrying out the agency’s duties and functions.

As a precautionary measure, BPS Kota Pekalongan reminded the public to verify the identity of field officers through official name tags and assignment letters. Officers are also expected to communicate politely and professionally to ensure public understanding and support for this decennial census.
