KOTA PEKALONGAN – Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Pekalongan City continues its proactive efforts by conducting an outreach session on the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) as part of an event held at the Setono Village Hall on Thursday, March 12, 2026. The session was coordinated by Ali Fahrudin and attended enthusiastically by neighborhood leaders (RT/RW) of Setono Village, as well as representatives from Samsat and Jasa Raharja. Through this forum, BPS aimed to build collective awareness of the importance of accurate economic data as a key pillar of both regional and national development.

During the presentation, Triyadi Anugerah Suharto explained in detail that SE2026 is a decennial data collection program designed to provide baseline data for all business units. The census will cover all economic sectors without exception. The resulting data will serve as a foundation for government decision-making, development planning, and comprehensive evaluation of economic conditions to ensure well-targeted policies.

Furthermore, it was conveyed that field data collection is scheduled to take place from May to August 2026 through questionnaire-based surveys of various community business units. This initiative is expected to encourage active participation from both the public and business actors in providing honest and accurate information. With strong synergy between BPS and local authorities, Pekalongan City is ready to support the availability of high-quality economic data for data-driven development.
