PEKALONGAN – Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Pekalongan City officially opened the second wave of training for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) Complete Enumeration field officers on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Aston Syariah Hotel Ballroom in Pekalongan. The three-day training program, which runs through Wednesday, June 10, 2026, was inaugurated by Mr. Didik Nursetyohadi, M.Agb., Head of the Economic Statistics and Analysis Team at BPS Central Java Province.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Pekalongan City Regional Secretariat's Protocol and Leadership Communication Office (Prokompim), the Pekalongan City Police, and several local business associations, reflecting a shared commitment to ensuring the readiness of field officers before data collection begins.

During the training, statistical partners assigned as Field Supervisors (PML) and Field Enumerators (PPL) receive intensive instruction covering the concepts and methodology of the Economic Census, business data updating procedures, and the use of the digital data collection application that will support field operations.

Before participating in classroom sessions, all trainees completed a *pre-test* to assess their initial understanding of the census methodology. The results provide a benchmark for evaluating participants' learning progress throughout the training.

Through this comprehensive capacity-building program, BPS Pekalongan City aims to ensure that every field officer shares a common understanding of the census methodology and is fully prepared to collect accurate, reliable, and high-quality economic data. The results of the 2026 Economic Census will provide an essential evidence base for formulating economic development policies at both the regional and national levels.
