PEKALONGAN – Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Pekalongan City has officially launched the 2026 Food and Beverage Service Establishment Survey (VREST), which is scheduled to take place from April to May 2026. The survey targets all food and beverage service providers, ranging from Medium and Large Enterprises (MLEs) to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). To ensure the quality of the data collected across Pekalongan City, BPS has deployed both enumerators and field supervisors throughout the survey period.

The primary objective of the survey is to capture the specific characteristics of food and beverage businesses as well as the profiles of their workforce, including the number of employees and their employment status. In addition, the survey seeks to obtain detailed information on business revenues, expenditures, and the value of assets or capital owned by establishments. These data are essential for gaining a comprehensive and accurate understanding of the economic conditions faced by culinary businesses in Pekalongan City.

Furthermore, VREST 2026 collects information on customer numbers, partnership arrangements, and the extent to which businesses utilize information technology in their operations. Through the cooperation and honesty of business owners in providing information to field officers, the survey results are expected to serve as a valuable reference for supporting the growth and digital transformation of the food and beverage service sector in the future.
