BPS Pekalongan City Presented the Readiness of the 2026 Economic Census at a Business Community Meeting Held by DPMPTSP Pekalongan City

BPS Pekalongan City attended a business community meeting organized by DPMPTSP Pekalongan City on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, to provide education on the preparations for the 2026 Economic Census (SE 2026).

The presence of BPS among MSME business owners is a strategic step to support the smooth implementation of this once-in-ten-years data collection, which aims to capture all economic activities in the area.

During the presentation, BPS Pekalongan City emphasized that the Economic Census aims to produce accurate and comprehensive data as a foundation for national and regional development policies.

Field data collection, including questionnaire completion, is planned to take place from May to August 2026. This activity will cover all business sectors without exception.

The event, held at the Meeting Room of the DPMPTSP Office of Pekalongan City, was also attended by representatives of Investment Management Administration from Central Java Province, who delivered opening remarks. In addition to receiving technical information about SE 2026, participants were also provided with taxation materials during the same event.

Through this collaboration, BPS hopes that business owners in Pekalongan City will provide honest and accurate information when the data collection begins, in order to create a more complete and realistic picture of the economic structure.
